Screening the best in classic, cult and modern greats at The Braid Arts Centre, Belfast Film Festival and selected external locations.

Our screenings often combine added elements, including music, food and drink. Above all, Braid Film celebrates the coming together of people to enjoy all types of movies in a warm and friendly environment.

Monthly screenings and specially programmed events are very much the idea behind the theatre. The films we feature are seminal classics, foreign films, local short films, family favourites, or independent films. We also team up with the Fright Club NI to run a Friday night Fright Club, showing crowd-pleasing horror films like Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th. Past events have included screenings of Empire of the Sun with a live choir performance, an It's a Wonderful Life carol service, a cardboard drive-in theatre for kids, sing-along screenings of Singin' in the Rain and Bohemian Rhapsody, and Henry V with a medieval-themed buffet.

The Braid Film Theatre is part of the Ballymena Borough Council Arts Partnership and is operated by Tim Burden and Gary Sullivan.
