Portico is an arts and heritage centre in Portaferry, at the eastern edge of Strangford Lough. Portico is a multi-purpose venue for everyone to use. It hosts cultural, educational and heritage events and activities including film shows, concerts, exhibitions, literary events, talks and much more. The Meeting Room and Auditorium can be hired for public events such as concerts or conferences or privately for weddings, funerals or family events.
Predominantly volunteer run, Portico holds around 50 events each year. Film events have included family screenings, films for young people (in partnership with Into Film) and special events - like our screening of Hitchcock's The Manxman with live organ music by Richard Hills.
