LUMI X Switch: Clueless (Screening + Clothes Swap)
Lumi and the sustainable clothes organisation Switch presents Clueless (1995) preceded by a clothes swap.
Do you prefer "fashion victim" or "ensemble-y challenged"? Popular '90s film Clueless is coming to QFT, and while we don’t have a magical outfit creating wardrobe computer, we do have the next best thing - an environmentally conscious clothes swap event: Switch by Environmental Éadaí starting at 4pm.
Clueless reworks Jane Austen’s Emma in Beverley Hills. Head-to-toe plaid, over the knee socks, nose-piercings, furry backpacks and dressing-up montages galore made this sharp, funny and very enjoyable film iconic upon its release in 1995. An ode to female friendship, counter culture and teenage lexicon: this is a film about women, by women, for everyone.
May I please remind you, even though it does not say R.S.V.P. on the Statue of Liberty, you’ll need to buy a ticket to get into the clothes swap before the film screening. Switch begins at 4pm, and you can arrive anytime between then and the film at 6pm. Buying a ticket entitles you to take 5 items of clothing. This is to ensure that everyone gets a chance to find something great! It's highly recommended you get down early to bag the best bits, just don't run any stop signs to get here.
If you have good quality clothes you'd like to donate to the Switch, please contact @environmentaléadaí on Instagram. You do not need to donate clothes to take part! We take most clothes in advance so we can wash & sanitise all items. Donations must be clean, and in good condition - only donate something you'd like to get.
Standard tickets £15 / LUMI tickets £10 (don't forget to log in before you book!)
