Nerve Cinema: One Fine Morning
Nerve Centre presents the French drama of loss and loss, One Fine Morning (2022)
In Paris, a young, widowed mother (Léa Seydoux - No Time to Die, The Lobster) juggles her job as a translator with caring both for her young daughter and her elderly father (Pascal Greggory - La Vie En Rose, Irma Vep) who suffers from a degenerative illness. Her life is further complicated when she embarks on a passionate affair with an old friend (Melvil Poupaud - Laurence Anyways, Time to Leave) in an unhappy marriage.
“This could have easily become a torrid, tear-jerking melodrama, but Hansen-Løve’s matter-of-fact approach to performance and incident allow the emotions to emerge organically from the unfussy drama onscreen.” - Bilge Ebiri, Vulture
2022. France/UK/Germany. Director: Mia Hansen-Løve. Cast: Léa Seydoux, Pascal Greggory, Melvil Poupaud.
