Outburst 2019: Calamity Jane (Sing-Along)
Whip-crack away! As part of the BFI Musicals! Season, Outburst and QFT are delighted to present a special sing-along screening of one of the most beloved (and subtextually queer) musical classics of all time.
Hollywood icon Doris Day passed away earlier this year and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate her life than a cinema full of LGBTQ+ folk and friends singing Secret Love and A Woman’s Touch in unison.
Bring your mam, your gran, a date and your best voice and join us the perfect Sunday matinee!
The screening will be introduced by Jackie Stacey, feminist film theorist and author of Stargazing: Hollywood Cinema and Female Spectatorship.
