We Come In Peace & Predator
A special presentation by Dungannon Film Club with QUB's Professor Francis Keenan explaining how SF has represented our alien friends, followed by Schwarzenegger's Predator.
6.30pm, We come in peace!
We are delighted to be joined again by Professor Francis Keenan from Queen's University for one of his presentation on the science in science-fiction Films and TV. He will use short clips from films and television programmes to illustrate how science-fiction in the media sometimes gets science right, but more often gets it wrong!
In particular in this presentation he will take a look at the portrayal of aliens in science-fiction, including that staple of many movies and television shows, the alien invasion.
Specially requested by Prof. Keenan we have the cult classic Predator. A team of commandos on a mission in a Central American jungle find themselves hunted by an extraterrestrial warrior.
