Film Hub NI exists to grow audiences for film across Northern Ireland.
We do this by offering a range of services which can be accessed by all members – from film specific arts organisations to community cinemas and all those in between.
You must be a Film Hub member to apply for these opportunities. Apply!
Film Hub NI has an open call for investment. Contact us to discuss your proposal. This grassroots scheme is open to all members of the Hub and is assessed by an independent panel of industry professionals. Guidelines and application forms for investment can be found here.
We also offer support for activity for young audiences, screen heritage and film archive work and diversifying and widening access to independent film.
Contact us to discuss ideas you might have.

Bursaries and Career Development
As part of our ongoing commitment to develop the skills of the sector, Film Hub NI can provide bursaries as a contribution to fees, travel, and accommodation to enable your attendance at relevant film festivals or advanced screening opportunities. Guidelines and application forms for bursaries can be found here.
Bursaries can be used for travel, accommodation, entry fees for screening days or festivals, or training fees. Some restrictions apply.
Bursaries are capped at £350 per event and are subject to the approval of Film Hub NI. Bursaries cannot cover any costs incurred before approval and will be paid following the production of valid original receipts.
Where possible Film Hub NI will make payment directly, on behalf of our members.
We provide training through a variety of different organisations. We work with the Independent Cinema Office to offer courses throughout the UK.
Details of courses can be found on their website.
We’ve also hosted events such as Cinema for All’s Community Cinema Weekend and also deliver training ourselves – we’ll keep you posted of all training events on this website.
Film Hub NI hosts the Cinema for All Neighborhood Cinema kit, which is a quality kit suitable for indoor screenings in small-medium venues. Equipment hire is £25 per screening for members and £50 per screening for non-members. Hire for non-volunteer led groups or commercial groups is £90.
